Bose settings (718 gen)

Lots of negative comments on the Bose system in the 718s, just wondering whether those who have been disappointed have delved into the sound options to turn OFF the BOSE Surround function. I turned mine off from day one, but was tweaking settings and for curiosity turned it back on and it sounded like the stereo was immersed in water. Ironically didn’t add much in way of surround experience either.

I was doing 70mph with the roof down in my Boxster at the time, with the feature off it was crisp and punchy. My only thought was at that speed the volume could have been louder!
