Can anyone please help with the following dilemma:

I have a Mercedes A180d AMG Line Executive Saloon Metallic White on a 1+35 personal lease @ £292 per month 8k per annum. Currently 9k-ish on the clock.

There are 22 months remaining on the lease and it’s with Arval Leasing.

I was exploring options of terminating/transferring the contract due to a change in job circumstances. They have told me they are happy to transfer it to a business/ltd company if the other party is willing.

Ofcourse I can pay 50% of the remaining instalments to hand it back but obviously would rather go for the transfer option.

1) is that something anyone has any experience of doing?
2) how do I go about finding someone who may be interested?

Any suggestions?

Given the current pandemic I’m sure I can’t be the only one thinking about lease swap/transfer and wanted to open it up to the floor to share experiences to see if people have managed to take over or hand over a lease successfully.

Hi there I might be interested in taking it up, could you please confirm if its a business lease, where it is located and the mileage allowance. Thanks

Yeah so its actually a personal lease but for the transfer arval have said it needs to be transferred as a business lease so maybe you can save on the VAT too because the £292 was inc vat for me.

based in Birmingham and original term was 36 months at 8k per annum (total mileage 24k) but I have been told arval are quite happy to generate quotes for higher mileage part way through the contract.

hope that helps smile

Unfortunately I don't have a business but I will see what I can do. Could you put a rough estimate on how much you would consider putting down as an incentive for taking the lease. Thanks!
