Just a follow up to the neighbour issues i had, assault by pillock downstairs. So apart from the fact he has assaulted me in broad daylight, poisoned our cat, poisoned next door's cat, rock music all day so our house vibrates and we can't hear tv,we also now live in the middle of a scrap yard and now get this, the young girl next door stays alone with her 6 year old son,for a joke this prick downstairs and his 'buddy' across the road decide to break into her house every time she goes out, rearrange things, steal stuff, she tells the police as obviously it gets on her nerves, because she has called the police on them she gets abuse every time she goes along the street, grass etc?and to cap it all off, prat downstairs from me shoots rabbits/crows anything that moves at 4am most mornings, this girl next door wakes up,her son opens their front door and their is a dead crow hanging by a wire around its neck! When in the hell are the council,or the police going to do anything about this idiot, when is enough enough?I thought this guy downstairs was just in jail for stabbing someone in the past,it turns out he actually killed the man. What about this ASBO i keep hearing about?Council eviction maybe? Is it just me or is this man(for want of a better word)a bit much?

Kill him. Easy solution.

Obviously this would only work if you were in a Guy Ritchie movie and is not to be considered for real life situations

Badger the Council's Environmental Services to have Sound Level Meters and recording equipment installed in your house.
Tell the police the guy is using a shotgun to kill the creatures and get a pic of dead creatures to back it up (and any other stuff, if you can without being seen).
if you have the money, get (very) discrete CCTV installed to show to Council/Bib when you next complain.
May be the Bib can comment as to how to get the best service from theor colleagues in other forces?

Yep!

Ring the police

make a scared sobbing noise

"thiers a man downstairs with a gun, i think he is going to kill everyone"

Then, 5 mins later

he will be fully Mp5'd

Luckily for me, my neighbors are nowhere near as bad as that and were silenced by a couple of strong worded solicitors letters and threat of prosecution.

One thing I will say is our local environmental health people and council were excellent. Its annoying having to follow a 3 week list to fill out of problems but should be a minor inconvenience compared to what you have been through!

The thing that peed me off the most is when I went to the local police station and teh guy behind the desk was very very unhelpful. I asked if it would be possible for the beat officer to have a word and he actually told me that he was not interested then went off to have a cup of tea with his mate while i waited for him to get back to me,....

Go the council and consider private prosecution route first, use the police as a last resort as they dont really seem that interested the 2 times I have contacted them.

It's not a problem, all you have to do is report it to the BiB and they will arrest him and use the full power of the law to stop his misdemeanours, Mungo said.
