I know this should probably be on the photography thread, but... well..... quite frankly those technical types on there scare me ;)

I have a very simple question about Photoshop.. I have a decent pic of a group of people, but I want to remove their heads and replace them with those of cartoon characters. (please don't ask why, my mates and me are just wierd, ok :p)

Can anyone help in language that isn't too technical. Being blonde I don't do big words

I think you’ll need to get a copy of the “Idiots Guide To Putting Cartoon Characters Heads On People In Photoshop” book.

Or maybe just this.

Easy peasy. Forget all that clipping path stuff - that's for experts .

Open your photo in PS. Then find your cartoon pic, copy to desktop (first checking that buy doing so you are not in breach of copyright legislation in the relevant territories). Use the magnetic selection tool to select the cartoon head. (It helps to find a pic that has a white background). Select it. Paste into the friends pic - resize and postion to your liking. Flattten image. Job done.

Edited to address strange spelling anomolies...

You don't - the person in your profile is more atttractive IMO.

However, as you know, I am totally flirt-proof.

We can have dinner en-route to pick up our *cough* err...hampster in my big red shiny truck.
