Trade a 430 Scuderia + 997 Sport Classic + some cash for an F12 TDF?

I don't think I've ever seen a thread on PH that has such a consistent answer to the OP's question !

Oh, and it's a no from me too !

Depends on how much cash. If it is enough cash to get a CGT instead of the TDF, then no. I would trade a Scuderia and SC for a TDF though because of the engine and also because the 812 looks much worse than the F12 - so a TDF is the high point of the modern cars imo

I would say "no" also.

But...

We don't know how you feel about your Scud and your SportClassic. If they don't do it for you anymore and that's unlikely to change, then it's a different answer - maybe.

Thanks all - I certainly never expected such a universal response!

How do I feel about the Scud and Club Sport? To be honest I've had the 430 for 5 years and think its incredible - cannot imagine a better driving car (which says more about my abilities than the car). The CS is very new to me and was partly bought out of adoration for the design, inside and out. Its only done 3k miles so sits in collector territory

Sound stupid but I only like to have one car for any particular job - both these cars are 400+ BHP, touring, 2010 models. I feel there's too much overlap. Thought was that the TDF ticks both boxes - stunning looks (to me) and performance

That changes things a bit.

If the money is just hygiene - i.e. you have it and it's not life changing to not have any more, AND you're not in love with the SportClassic, then...

I think the TDF is at least as interesting as the Scud, both now and in the long run - perhaps more so in the long run given where V12 NA engines will likely end up

I'm going to buck the trend and say 'yes' go for it Robert! I'm a sucker for a V12 (had a 550 and a 599) and to me the TDF would be irresistible, if I had the necessary funds...which sadly I don't. It's stunning and would be such an event every time.

Ignoring the cost I would, TDF is a big league car the other two aren't, depends what you like in a car, but i wouldn't even notice a 911 shaped car of virtually any iteration. Scud is nice but not in the same league.

Is a TDF more than the sum of the other two? Absolutely, but probably not in a way you can measure on paper and will probably depend on your personal disposition to them all.
