IPad Malware Help Needed

My 85 year dad clicked a dodgy email yesterday on his iPad and his sent Mail is now full of all the dodgy emails he’s subsequently sent!!

I’ve just installed malwarebytes but is that enough and is there any removal tasks I should go through? If so, what software do I need?

iPads dont traditionally get viruses ... sounds more like its grabbed his email password (which could be his iCloud password if its his iCloud email) ... Id just change that and see if anything else gets sent.
