WOW 147 16v multijet diesel

Test drove a 140bhp diesel 147 and wow what a car,the engine pulls very hard from 2000 revs right up to 5000 revs,awesome torque would blow my gtv into the weeds on typical winding roads around my way.
To top it all it even sounds good with a nice woosh from the turbo at about 4000 revs,i understand you can chip these engines for 170bhp and 260lbs of torque.

Yup thats a cracking engine. Had a 156 SW with this lump & 6 speeder on loan whilst mine was in. Did Mothers in Norfolk to Chatham 125 miles in 1 & 3/4 hours @ 45MPG one Sunday afternoon. Even harrassed a couple of AMG Mercs on one part of the journey. Lacked the real torque of my 2.4 10V but great never the less.
