Is that a 52 year-old mum or a 16 year old gypsy?

I recognise a few of them as real PB. That thing with the lips and tits is horrific!

Really impressive what the watch was valued at, wonder what he sold it for.

Oh, and, the broker who handled the watch was on a similar programme a couple of years ago.

ETA: Posh Pawn.

If the program is real, surely the sellers would get offers elsewhere before making a decision, the Rolex’s being the obvious ones, even watchfinder or watches.co.uk would have beaten those offers by miles,

I don't frequent that area of the forum, that's a hell of a mark up.

It is but I don’t understand why she wouldn’t put it to auction and take the real money

Possibly because they have not previously made the best decisions in their lives, and are carrying on doing the same.

How did she get these things, inherited them? And they just sat in a draw for nearly 15 years and she never got them valued? Seems a likely story?

Im assuming that people arent aware of what they have got, most average people wouldnt have an Idea about that about that watch as its not a common name like Rolex.

And the Earrings, she thought they were glass.

They do have overheads and stuff and need to make a profit.

And on the opposite end of the Scale, the guy with the Lowry who wanted 18K, just because it was a Lowry, at least the guy made an effort to find someone to pay close to what he was asking for it, rather than offerinf him the 5K that the art expert said he should offer.

Glad the woman with the Rolex and Tiffany stuff saw the offer for the low ball it was.
£8k for a still stickered Batman is firesale prices, hilarious to hear him banging on about it being 'secondhand' now and keeping a straightface, £8k is current 'new' price, but you can't buy one so gray price is £15k I imagine Watchfinder would have bid over £10k but obviously these places do have to make a living so you're never going to get offered 'retail'.
Unusual for someone on one of these programs to have the slightest idea what the value of anything is, I just can't work out where the things come from, the Patek Philippe appeared to be without box or papers, who owns something like that and has no idea what it's worth? Have these people not heard of Google, there appears to be someone next week with a Rolex Daytona, it says what it is on the dial, how hard is it to look that up. banghead

There's some fairly strong rumours around that at least some of this was faked with provided items. You can guess which ones.

Funniest bit to me was the attempts at one end of the scale to dress up as a high end jewellers, and at the other end to dress up like a footballers house. Not that long ago the same players looked a lot less flash.

Interesting that it was all about 'buying as a middleman' trades not loans against goods - if you want to sell something why go to a pawnbroker? Just seemed odd, especially for the stuff they were looking at.

Whole thing seemed like a promo advertorial.

Did understand that at all - valued at 3-5k to sell for 10 and he pays £15k - WTAF!!!

I just can't understand why you'd use these people if the goods are legit - surely you'd go to an Art dealer / Jewellers / Auction house etc.

Seemed little suspect especially the watch and diamond ear rings

The box the watch was in was like one you’d find in Turkey. It just seemed planted and planned to make him seem generous (regardless of the supposed markup)

I hope the sellers son is okay.
