Pub with good food and a garden between Leeds and Scarboroug
Discussion
Hi - normally I would just use google for this, but so many places have got lockdown focused websites it's not easy to find what I'm after.
Assuming that any pub that's still operating is going to move heaven and hearth to be operational as soon as possible after April 12th, I am looking for a nice stopping off place for lunch somewhere between Doncaster and Scarborough. I'll happily detour up the A1 as far as Thirsk, and happily divert from the main road as far as necessary.
I'm looking for decent food and somewhere comfortable to eat it outside. Not looking for a starched white tablecloths type of place.
Added bonus points for somewhere that makes the drive from Doncaster to Scarborough interesting in either a scenic or fun roads type of way.
Also - as I'm coming from the south, starting on the M1, I can divert west if it's really worth the trip. The only stipulation is that I'd like to be north of Doncaster before stopping for lunch.
