Hi all,

Currently having a cafetière each morning, and at the weekends a moka pot and cafetière.

We just put our beans into the food waste, but wondering if anyone has recommendations for a better usage, and a suitable storage container if so.

I've seen reports of it being good for plants, helping wash hands etc. Any one had any first hand experience?

Cheers

Restaurant in the hills in Ibiza dries them puts them in little trays and lights them - they burn a bit like cigars - the smoke discourages wasps/critters.

Or bung it on the garden/compost.

The coffee shop in my building used to give away bags of used coffee grounds, the sign said it was good for the garden plants.

I compost mine with the food waste, but you could just chuck them in the garden. I believe they're quite good for houseplants as they retain moisture.

My mother sprinkles them in the garden, I've got a feeling she said they kept slugs/snails/etc off the plants.
