Allocating Printer memory on an HP PSC
Discussion
Hi there
I quite often have to print large documents; does anyone know how you allocate memory to the printer (ie ringfence some PC memory for the task)
Its nice to be able to do other memory intensive stuff (like play games!) while you're waiting. Is it possible to make any slowdown happen in game rather thanon the printer?
Thanks,
ed

Most printers that connect direct to your PC will churn 100% cpu whilst printing - certainly in my experience anyway.
Get yourself a cheapo print server and that should stop the issue - like these ones;
USB 2 print server
Parallel port print server
