I have got the engaged signal permanently for the last two days on the number they quoted on letters to me (028 38323318). The operator on the number quoted in "Sprint" (0870 240 2972) was unable to help me and merely referred me to the number that was permanently engaged, saying (helpfully) that they were "very busy".

Does anyone have any other number for them? Should I wait a couple of days and try again or does this happen all the time?

Went to Mannings and saved a packet, but not as much as another TVRCC member on their Tuscan, who saved £800 with Mannings.

I've tried them twice and they haven't even been close to what Sunninghill have quoted.........

Sunninghill saved me 15% on the nearest quote, and were half the price of the highest quote. They were the most informative and helpful too.

Just had my renewal documents from Peart, £30 cheaper than the quote from Mannings!
Mannings did say they usually beat prices from Peart though, guess I'm just the exception.
Bizarre business - motor insurance pricing.

Same here. Cheaper with Peart than Sunninghill or Mannings. Dunno why!

Previously contacted Peart but nowhere near my current price through Mannings (really friendly people). One of their chippy 'advisors' even told me that I didn't now what I was talking about and put the phone down on me when I asked what discount would be given if I put my father on my insurance.

PS I have been an insurance broker for 15 years!

Give Cheam Ins Brokers a try. They have been the best deal I could find for the last 3 yrs. Admittedly Tescos does come up with a good price but without track day cover.

Cheam are now part of Hillhouse Hammond, but don't let that put you off. They can be a bit hard to get hold of at times though.

Why do you get a discount with papa on the policy?

because he is considered to be in another age group. Usually worth something, and when you are talking about the sort of premiums we have to pay it all counts!

Obviously if your dad's 90 it won't work but I'm in my 30's

I had dire quote from Peart It was practically a telephone number

I even pointed out that the amount was coincidentally exactly what I was going to charge them for using my car in their advert they declined to come up with a better offer and they are still using my car

Just insured my new car (griff 500) with sunninghill and got track cover, europe cover, no mileage limit etc etc for £460. Im 35 and it's a third car so they mirror the no claims. Ive seen a few people post positive comments about them and they were very friendly. They have a web site and their number is 01276 48 60 86. The only down side is you get free rac cover if your car is under 8 years old and mine is just over.

Nice colour Griff by the way!

Is it worth checking the legal position?

Pearts are B******s. There office is based in N. Ireland. Guess what they refuse to cover TVR's in N. Ireland. Total w*****s
Mannings have tried to cover N. Ireland, but you could buy a box at Old Trafford for less.
Sunninghill said they could cover us, then they changed there minds. Most of us pay over £1200 a year just to enjoy our cars.

Peart were the best for me by a good way, Manning came pretty close but didn't do the monthly direct debit scheme I wanted.

27, 4 years NCB, 3 points on SP30, accident 3 years ago, garaged '91 S3 with TVRCC track days included. £947. I was getting quoted over £700 for my old Celica, so I'm pretty happy with that.

Classic Line were considerably less (~650), but wanted to limit the mileage too much, wouldn't provide 3rd party cover for other cars, as well as a few other limitations I couldn't live with.

Found that adding my wife helped a lot, as she's just over 30.

Much add that Peart do keep forgetting some details, had to make around 10 corrections to the first form they sent back after being very careful to specify everything, then when I got my certificate back details are still missing!
