This weekends British GP is a major opportunity to show the Terrorist that we are not going to take it lying down.

Cancelling the GP would send out the wrong message that Terrorist actions effect us.

Has anyone said anything about cancelling the GP?

Strange that anyone would write that sort of thing if there hasn't been any mention of it anywhere.

They were talking about it on Radio 2 this morning. Said it was going ahead, and there was to be a massive security effort to stop anything like that happening anyway.

Strange how 9/11 was the week before the US GP, and this the week before ours.

Maybe the terrorists don't like motor racing?

The first F1 race after 9/11 was the 2001 Italian GP. A number of the teams ran with black nose cones as a mark of respect.

must admit the minutes silence was done & followed 100% - was a very moving part in the Paddock Village as everybody and everything came to a halt for a minute.

yeh i agree, over at woodcote it was very quiet, apart from some t*sser at the start using a claxon, but other than that, very moving. did anyone else read that some of the drivers were actually ignoring the silence? i read it here..

Saw that on the TV coverage. Villeneuve joking and laughing with Monteiro. Disgusting.
