10k dog/mtb wagon

Hi all

After a few threads whilst I mull over what to get next, my 2010 Range Rover Sport is now up for sale. I’m going to take a bit of equity out of the car and buy myself a sub £10k estate...whilst I save for a 981 Boxster to buy at the start of winter when the prices are lower.

Requirements:
- auto
- £10k max
- can carry a Doberman/mountain bike/do tip runs
- I appreciate a nice interior.

I’ve been looking at 5 series and E classes but there’s nothing near me (why are all good used cars down south!?) so casting a wider net. I like a sporty look, my 4 series I used to have was M sport and totally blacked out, which is a style I appreciate.

Tricky one. I've had similar buying inclinations myself in the past - for a big bike at least (no dogs).

Most estates will struggle to fit a bike in whole, so as long as that is appreciated. Something like an Audi a6 Avant is probably about as big as you can get that isn't an E-Class.

For 10k you can pick up a B8 and the body style has aged well (doesn't look much different to the newer gen models) and can suit that "murdered" out look quite well if you get the right model -

More perhaps in line with a RRS - The BMW X5 is a decent option. My friend has one for MTB carrying duties it served quite well.

Jaguar XF - Sport or R-Sport - Classy estate. Not quite as big as the others but still. They look good and take a bike in the back with wheels off and seats down.

Thanks Steve. Good suggestions. I hadn’t considered an X5. Great shout.

I’ll probably put the bike on the roof, so that’s not too much of an issue. It’s mainly the dog and house stuff.

A6 and 5 Touring aren't that big in the boot dept.

E Class is way way bigger in practice. In particular the boot width and rear window line are far better for carrying things like bikes.

My vote is E Class.

If you really want to save cash then Mk4.5 mondeo is also big.

Superb is long but too narrow.

To be totally honest I just can’t get over the look of the Infiniti.
I do like those jeeps though. And it actually made me also think of a touareg too which I like equally. Like a blend between a reliable estate and the Range Rover. Thanks
