I've recently had problems with my alarm - every time I lock the car the alarm sounds after c.30s. When I then unlock the car and leave it unlocked it subsequently automatically locks itself and the hazard lights switch on after c.30s. I've tried opening and closing the boots and roof and then locking again (just in case there's a loose connection somewhere) but to no avail. However, after repeating this cycle 4-5 times the car then locks normally with no further dramas. The car isn't parked on an incline. Although it's going for a service tomorrow does this sound familiar to anyone? All that aside I'm loving the car! Thanks.

Need an alarm siren, the internal battery will be on its way out.

Automatic re-locking if a door hasn't been opened is absolutely normal.

The alarm siren battery tip is a good one to keep the system working.

However, it's not obvious to me why the problem reported in OP should be related to the siren battery. That problem doesn't seem to be mentioned in the Youtube link.
