Has anyone replaced their front wishbone bushes with polyurethane ones? It seems there are either the original Ford rubber ones or nylon ones available. These seem to be at the extremes of too soft and too hard. It would be good if there was a compromise available such as Superflex.

I replaced all of my front bushes with a set of Superflex ones about two years ago.

Tightens the front end up quite a bit.

I obtained mine from Rally_Design in Faversham, Kent

Thanks for the info. The bottom wishbone bushes are listed but the top ones aren't so obvious. I guess it may be these.

You don't happen to know the Part numbers of the ones you ordered?

I brought all my bushes from Superflex, they stock the full range for Wedges, not got the car back on the road yet so I cant comment on performance.

Did mine a couple of months ago while replacing all ball joints. Mine are blue and something like superflex (somebody else provided me with the full set for all suspension bushes all round, and don't know any part numbers). Pressed them in with a heavy vice, and used the rear hub nut and other sockets as a tool. Front suspension was not bad, but feels more crisp now. And added to that the knowledge that all bushes are good for at least another 20 years...

Check out the new Powerflex bushes, I'll have them in time for BBWF.

I also rebuilt front susp with superflex from David Gerald at worcester but I have since spoken to Richard Thorpe and he says Nylon (or rose joint ££££££££)is the only way to go with a wedge Poly bushes aint stiff enough for wishbone, antiroll bar drop links or A frame. So now I am confused

Thanks for the replies. I already have the nylon bushes...... and have had the rubber ones in the past. That's why I was looking for something in between.
