Can anyone recommend some bulk 80min CD-R for me, please? The days when I only bought Nugen or TY has long since passed, but it appears that the days when you could walk into Asda and buy reasonable own brand media has passed too.

50s or 100s preferably, and as cheap as possible.

I still buy mine from SVP.co.uk - and the last lot I bought last year were 'Taiyo Yuden Watershield Silver Full face Printable CDR 80 min 50 Disc Spindle' for £19+postage.

100 packs seem to only be a small premium on the 50 packs (30% or so).

I tend to stay away from the very cheap ones - even if they're Philips or Maxell branded, as I've never had very positive experiences with them.

I haven’t dealt with SVP for at least 15 yrs. I found their site last night after trying a little harder with Google.

TYs start for £22 now + £4 and Maxell are their principal and half-priced competition. I would probably have chosen these, so thanks for the heads-up.

Usually get mine from Jetmedia - I've used TDK and DigiStor without problems. If you want Taiyo Yuden it's now called CMC Pro.
