Setting up a cctv system down the garage, using a spare telly currently, which is impractical for the future, due to size, so on the odd occasion I need to adjust settings, or have a good look at some footage (other than on a mobile app) I'd like to have a small ish monitor to view, then store it away.
All laptops I have are non HDMI they are that old, and all the adaptors I've seen for HDMI to USB are non bi direction, so would only transmit from laptop, not the other way as I require to use the screen
So anyone know of any at reasonable cost without being huge, most seem to be directed at specs and use beyond what I need.

There's 361 monitors on Gumtree: filter to find what's local to you & you might find something for £40 or so:

Doesn't give me access to all the settings, alarm parameters etc, just viewing cameras and playback video, which I can do on my mobile.

Will look at gumtree as suggested above, in case there's anything on there.

I can either use a direct connection to the main CCTV PVR ie Monitor/Keyboard/Mouse or a web browser pointed directly at the PVR's ip address.

It only works in Internet Explorer though as it needs to install a plugin.

What CCTV system is it?

Maybe one of the CCTV PC packages will work, several free ones around.

Cheap as low as I can get one for. Reason being its not going to he used majority of the time, as most viewing will be done on my mobile, only need a monitor to set the system up regarding alarm zones, and possibly viewing on the odd occasion.
Anyway looked at Gumtree as suggested above (no idea why I didn't consider S/H) and found a 21" Phillips monitor 15 mins away for 20 quid, so all sorted.
