Pulled into my local petrol station in Lymington (the hub of all thing supercar... you see everything here!)...

There was an extremely whacky looking silver car parked at the pumps... thought it was a vette but it looked different... swung around behind it and it had callaway stamped into the back bumper... was silver and on trade plates.

sounded very very fruity as it pulled away.

anyone know about it?

Alex - I suppose you know what a standard corvette looks like so you've got me wondering, was it a Callaway C12 maybe?

I've not heard of a C12 anywhere on the UK shores but then again, I'm not there that often!

More likely it was one like Malc's!

KB still has his Twin Turbo 1987/88/89 Silver one.

I wouldn't have considered the C4 Callaways as "extremely whacky looking", not even an aerobodied C4.

But who knows.

The Callaway Speedster was one whacky lump of plastic...especially in metallic pink.

i do know very well what a vette looks like (anyone remember the very loud silver elise that joined you guys from fleet services to the pistonheads vw meet... that was me!)

the car was definitely a callaway... had the logo embedded in the rear bumper/panel... as an uneducated guess i would say it looked yr2000+,,, was silver and a tintop... was also on trade-plates,, couldn't see if i was british registered beneath.

as i said,,, looked quite extreme and sounded very fruity

Callaway C12 - as subtle as a golf club.
