Changed my dash earlier in the year. Accessing the three nuts is fairly tricky, but removal is ok.
Putting it back, in my case, was very awkward. The bolt on the driver side of the dash was far, far too long, so had to trim a good cm or two off it before i could replace the dash cover

Take care with the actual removal once the nuts are free. Its worth levering the passenger side up a little until the bolt is clear of its hole, then slap a piece (or two) of masking tape over the vinyl betwixt the hole and the dash front. A towel or similar wedged in would do the same. Stops the bolt from chafing the trim while you fiddle about trying to get the other end free.
found nut! - but turned it for a solid 15 mins - did not move down bolt - presuming the bolt is turning in the fiberglass or tuning on the bolt if firm (could JUST see that second option seemed to be the case) - unbeleivable - must have only been tighten the once at the factory - BUGGERATION - going to try to load the bolt / stud by wedging in wood in dash top to either stop bolt spinning or load the nut - if not may have to cut it off and reglass in another - F**king unbeleiveable.
Jellison, had the same problem when I replaced dash. I take it the problem is with the right hand side bolt?
I managed to get someone else with another spanner on the head of the bolt. I accessed this (I think) by loosening the lower cover bit to the right of the steering wheel I could bend this down just enough to just get a spanner on the head.
It appears that TVR did not even attempt to glue/glass the head of the nut.
I also had to remove the vent hose to get access to the nut with a ratchet spanner from footwell.
Sorry this is a bit vague, I'll try and post more details if you are still having trouble or if nobody else can be more specific.
It took me about 2 hrs of fiddling. Good luck!

I have photos of the back of the dash with my top off... Probably could see it on those. I'll check if you want.

Do you just want to know the colour of the wires from the rev counter to the connector block in the dash (which yu can see by now?
GUYS - YES - just need colour of wires from back of rev counter. Don't want to snap right hand bolt off (that is spinning in fiber).
Last thing to do (bar an ECU tune up for the full 440bhp). Done 3k miles and just need colur to trace back down to foot well loom.
Cheers

Its the White wire with a black trace.
There is a wiring diagram of my dash at http://ww1.dspen.com/TVR/Wiring_Diags/Chim-dash.pdf
which may help, if you need to identify anything else. AFAIK its standard early dash, with just addition of some leds and oil temp / volts gauges.
Dave
PS a small nut splitter may be possible on the nut if you pop out the vent & duct. I actually slightly relocated my boot release more centrally which gave better access (and fixed to a stronger glass section) which may give me better access. I also cut down that stud to the correct length - youll know why when you try and get the dash out if you do remove the nut.

Like I said, but in most cases there's no "just" about it!
