996 2005 Tiptronic Gearbox tuning?

I had read somewhere, and now can't find it, that there is some level of 'tuning' that can be carried out to the gearbox ECU even on the old tech Tiptronics. Does anyone know if that's true and, if so, who offers it? Ideally in the South East
