M&S to close current accounts and branches

Did anyone else get the email? M&S are closing their current account and in store branches

A real shame as the current account was very good and points based, but also included loads of decent vouchers like buy clothing get £5 in points etc

All of course designed to keep you shopping there but as I do love it I’m a bit gutted.

Yes I had the mail yesterday too. I am also disappointed as I have been with them for a number of years now and never had an issue with them. I see the Credit Card will still be available though so can get points that way.

Yes, & reading over on MSE it seems they are already dropping the ball with the ambiguity in the wording of how they would be treating current regular savers & practice of whats happening for some who have already actioned closures following the email.
I might do a switch to Virgin for their switching offer as i'm not eligible for the others but going to give them a little time to sort themselves out systems wise first
