Typical BMW driver. rolleyes

Waste of an E46 3er (let's hope it was only a 4 cyl) and a nice looking old skool 911. frown

Seven months inside, suspended for 18 months + 175 hours of CS. He’s got a bloody nice touch there.

I’d suggest that a straight 24 month custodial would be more deserving.

The 911 would have been worth a few quid no doubt.

Before I get slated too much, that was genuinely an option the government were looking at, with EU criminals in this country at least!

I'm amazed that nobody has yet made a joke about Mr Pasat crashing his BMW.

Bottom 50% of his screen clear of frost?

Can't see how that led to this collision. I reckon something else was in play here.

Edit...checked again, police report ambiguous.

But just wait until he gets his car insurance quote.

You can't see how 50% of a person's windscreen being obscured could lead to a collision?

very good point, I've pulled away from my house with less visibility than that and just peered though the gap! lol
I've just scraped the bit on front of my face before now and fudged it, I agree completely

I've already said the police report is ambiguous. They don't make it clear which part/how much was obscure.

Where are you reading the police report?

And frankly, what relevance is it which part/how much was obscured? They say roughly 50%. I think we can ascertain that means a good chunk of the windscreen was obscured. What's your problem? Are you just one of those people?

It’s rather irrelevant tbh, it was 50% clear at the time of the collision. Odds are it was less than 50% clear when the chap set off from home in a rush. You have to be a complete bellend to drive with a partially obscured windscreen, regardless of which portion is obscured.

I feel sorry for the occupants of the Porsche, not only having to deal with serious injuries but also the loss of their P&J, because some dimwit wasn’t responsible enough to ensure they could see where they were going, a pretty basic responsibility.

For the purposes of science.

Tape a black bin bag over the upper 50% of your screen, and go for a very long (motorway) drive tomorrow.

PS. Anyone know a good florist?

Thank you.

For the purposes of observational defect.

Read line 3 of my post.
