cool. cheers.

they say on their site that with the basic one they give priority to basic operations over large download operations.
have you ever noticed this to affect your download speeds?

2 years with them, no download cap but they do have a very vague fair use policy. However, we've never fallen foul of it, I have a dedicated download PC that's permanently on, Mr CG plays online games etc etc. I could probably tell you our usage stats for the last 3 months if you were that interested!

In terms of service, can't recommend them highly enough.

We use them for our comapany access and although we have had the odd problem their support guys were excellent. We moved from BT and it's made my life 1,000,000 times better!

I too have the cheap one (£15 a month) and there's no cap. Normal speeds for me are 2.18Mbits

BTW my username is mattdearden@plusdsl.net if you fancy putting in a referrer I'm saving neil_cardiff (fellow PHer, 50p a month ATM )

Yep, agreed, totally recommend them. I went for the premier package (only difference I think is contention ratio) and had no problems at all. Helpful and friendly company to talk to as well.

Plusnet broadband plus is 50:1 contention and is £14.99 a month.

Broadband Premier is 30:1 contention and is £2199 a month.

Both have no download limit attached to them.

With the Premier you get 250Mb webspace, CGI, SQL and frontpage with it and a pretty decent email service.

List of features here

CGI basically add the functionality to a website to allow you to incorporate some form of interactivity, such as searching your site, guestbooks, etc etc.

SQL is a database system that can be built into a website.

I don't really know much about them but it's handy to have them if your seriously into building a decent site.

edit: yep you'd be able to upload video, pictures and whatnot on it.
