Anyone recommend a decent wireless keyboard for productivity/gaming?

I am getting lost in endless reviews telling me I need to spend £1321322 on a keyboard, which isnt helpful given how much my prebuild has cost me already.

I dont want to spend a fortune!

I'm afraid I can't be any help with the wireless side of things, but does it absolutely, positively have to be a wireless setup? For gaming I would have been recommending a mechanical setup (although that usually starts at the thick end of a hundred quid).

Took the letters right out of my keyboard!

I’m very happy with this keyboard purchased recently. I tried & returned several wireless keyboards.

Thanks guys - ideally wireless yes, but if experiences are really poor - that may be time to evaluate!

I bought one of these for my son, which cost £44:

Great to type on and I think it is good value for money.

For work I use a Logitech G905 which cost me £200, it has great customisation of colours and works with 2 different computers but there is little to chooses between the feel of the keys when typing.

I have a Filco Majestouch, which I do like but they are not cheap. I also tried a Logitech K270 (awful) and a Sonkir (better but no function lock).

Still recommend the K120.

A connoisseur's choice there. What switches? I've always enjoyed MX Blues for typing.

Wireless is fine for normal PC use, but for gaming, why risk any issues. Every millisecond counts, get wired.

Unless you are a terrible gamer, then get wireless as won't matter.

Brown, and tempted to try dampeners.

I had an MX blue keyboard once, I forget the make. It was embarrassing checking my email in the morning and wondering if I was waking the neighbours. Binned it.

And then get a nice keyboard!

It's been a long while from I've been deep into keyboards and such, but as far as dampeners go, are they now a product or just small O-rings that fit the task? I really, really like MX Blues although I've been using a laptop for a few years now so they haven't seen usage in quite some time. The only thing I'd have liked more were MX Green (Blue but with a stiffer spring demanding more force for actuation). Not really a conventional 'gaming' switch for OP's usage scenario: Black, Brown, and Red are typical switches in a gaming keyboard, but I used to maul people on Team Fortress 2 using it.

My 16-year-old said you're crazy to go wireless and you'd be best getting a Razer Huntsman Elite.

he complains about ping of over 10ms so claims to know what he's talking about biggrin

Just to close this off - ordered a Roccat mechanical keyboard in the end. Its wired thanks to the thoughts on here.

Also realised my VR can be via virtual desktop anyway so its not an issue.

I went with Roccat after getting one of their mice last week and really pleased with it.
