I see that Sralan is looking for applicants for another series of 'The Apprentice'.

I love 'The Apprentice'! Why? Because it makes me feel like Elon Musk biggrin

So, if any of you lot can't work out what 10% of 100 is, get your application in!

Know what you mean. I used to like it when it started but has just become a game show that has near zero relevance to the realities of business.

Friend of mine runs a fabric transfer business and got roped into one of the episodes a few years back. It was at a stage where they were down to the last four so the dross had gone but he said those that remained hadn't got a clue about anything to a level that was embarrassing. He also reported a lot of 'directing' from the crew including the inducement of an argument that wasn't an argument in the natural run of things.

That's a pity. The bickering especially amongst the girls does get wearing. Whilst the candidates may be generally as thick as two short planks I respect their boundless energy and wildly misplaced self-confidence. Tom the market-stall geezer from the last series was good value.

I don't think it's even a "game" show as the winner has been selected from the outset, based on whatever their idea is.

It would be far more interesting to just have a £250k prize for the winner and just fire the most incompetent person each week, rather than constantly leaving them in just because theyve got a good business idea,
