More mundane than previous suggestions but I think the 5th gen Civic had great proportions.

This would be my shout. The 2000GT is just about as ‘beautiful’ as a Japanese car gets for me. I’ve always loved the 22B Impreza and original Honda NXS, I wouldn’t consider either to be beautiful but definitely both striking and good looking in their own way. Both certainly made a lasting first impression on me

I’m a massive JDM lover, but having owned one, “ albeit not for long “ the z32 in my eyes is such an iconic lovely looking thing.

I've always liked the 300zx.

Best for me though is the early style RX7 FD, before the sideskirts/chin spoilers of the later editions. They now pretty much all have horrible looking bodykits on them though which is a shame I think.

300ZX, LFA and if you look at it forgivingly, the Mitsubishi 3000 GT - It was so 'of its time' and just right to my teenage eyes.

R3 face-lift, I agree.

Wheels are lovely for stock and all the subtle bodywork upgrades make this a lovely car.

The RX7 (FD3S?) is one of my all time favourite looking cars.

Unpopular to say, but to me the Japanese have made much more beautiful cars than the Germans ever have.

Really loved these as a kid. Supra 2.8i.

My Dad had one of these new. Nissan Silvia 1.8 Turbo.

I lived near a Toyota main dealer and these were a popular car then, and who can ever forget the Incredible Hulk losing his st with one.

I had one of these nearly new in 2002 ( I think ) awful car, it was the ace of spades. Beautiful though, and drove very well.

An ex girlfriend of mine had a manual wide body 'C' plate 2.8i Supra in the exact same colour as the the one above back in the late 80's. A lovely car to drive that felt pretty quick back then. Good looking carthumbup

FTO. I'm biased because I had one for a bit, but just a lovely shape. Shame about the fuel consumption vs speed... But I still miss it.
