After reinstalling my Fire tablet wiping everything clean and starting again, I noticed when I download the Play store app and try to open it up nothing happens. Before the reformat it was working OK but not it's not. Anyone have any idea why?.

I didnt think Play Store was supported on a Fire tablet unless you do some manual installation of the various components.

Alternatively if you have a Windows PC you can use Fire ToolBox to install it and do much more like remove the Amazon Apps and branding.

I seem to remember you have to install and run several other packages before Play will work - was a long time back when I did this so alas can't help much more.

When I bought the tablet and loaded it up it asked did I want to install the Store app. I think when I reformated it I think it asked the same thing but for some reason I didn't click yes so maybe that's why it won't open after I downloaded it.

Looks like you haver to install the Google Account Management and Google Service Framkework apks for it to work.

Found this run through, no clue how safe the links are though.

I tried downloading the framework apk and tried opening it up, but got a parsing error message. According to the above link you need to install four apks, but it only tells you to download the Google Account Manager and framework. I'm sure I didn't have to do this when it was working before.

Yeh its not as easy as just installing play store, chances are also, the OS version your on doesn't allow it at the moment.
