spare wire behind dash?
Discussion
HI, Been busy repairing the hazard switch but while everything was apart i noticed a spare black and white wire? It was near the ignition key wiring, bottom right area behind the pod.
Is that normal?
Also been getting a code E ( fuel gauge fault ) but couldnt see where the wire would or could go?
Any knowledge much appreciated

I'm sure somebody more electrically minded/knowledgeable than me will clarify shortly, but in their absence, according to the Lucas Guide (which I'm not sure if TVRs adhere to), a black cable with a white stripe is the brake fluid warning light or handbrake warning light or the stereo to speakers.

Was it mostly white with a black tracer ? Could be the air con request and acknowledge signal wire from the heater ecu and possibly unused if the car doesn't have air con - black tracers matter ! Is that normal?

oooooohhhhh thats what it is! Thank you.
Just need to find out now what keeps knackering the lcd display! It seems that every time a fault code is displayed the screen then goes dark?
Had it last year with a EFI code, replaced the screen and last week a E code appeared and sortly after the screen is buggered!
Very odd
