Having just got my first Maserti and being mightily impressed does anyone have a solution to playing my music on an Iphone through the car stereo.
The infotainment system does seem very dated and yes the car sounds the dog`s but I would like the option of listening to my music all the same.
Thanks in anticipation

There are various aftermarket bluetooth options available that will allow this. Its been a few years, but as I recall there's a socket inside the glove box which you can plug an iphone into and that may do the job, using the Aux setting on the stereo. I'm not sure how reliable this is - I have the recollection of 'not very' being the case.

The system is indeed very dated, but otherwise a beautiful car. But if needs be there are aftermarket solutions to help you. Btw did you get it with the Bose speaker system? If so, its just about acceptable - the standard was god awful as I recall in terms of quality.

There is one extremely elegant and functional solution out there - from a company called Naviplus who are Australian (I think). It consists of one or more boxes of gubbins that sit behind the interior trim and a transparent touch sensitive overlay that is installed on top of the factory infotainment screen. Once it's up and running, plug your phone in and swipe left on the screen for full Android Auto / Apple Carplay functionality - including Waze and Spotify. Swipe right and you're back to the factory screen. It is a completely invisible install.

There are installers out there who will supply and fit this unit. A company called Prestige in St. Albans did mine.
