So all being well my RTX3080 equipped gaming PC arrives next week.

Being a console player for many years am quite excited by the change - any games recommended for showing the RTX to its best effect?

Plan is to go VR in a month or so once my wallet recovers and its specced accordingly, but need something between times!

Contol get mentioned a lot.

Quake 2 is fully ray traced, but that's probably more of a nerdy thing.

fallout 4 - I'm just starting another playthrough with all DLC and a numbers of mods - TrueStorms for instance is stunning.

Isn't Cyberpunk using ray tracing on capable PCs and consoles? Despite all the launch issues, it's well recieved on PC.

If you want a good idea of games to utilize the performance of your PC, check out the Digital Foundry channel on Facebook. Lots of information on tech and games.

Yep Cyberpunk worked brilliant for me. I'm fairly entry level with RTX stuff but it ran great on my PC (RTX 2060 FE, i5-8400, 16GB RAM). Aside from one graphical glitch literally immediately after the game launched, I'm talking, it launched at midnight and I was playing it by 12:15 hehe.

When it was launched, Flight Simulator 2020 was the game used to benchmark GPUs. If you can get 60fps in 4k, you're a winner.
