Zips gone on my boots, it's the small wobbly bit that your fingers touch when opening closing the boot. Could repair but happy to replace.

Still fairly new to this so has anyone got personal favourites and why?

Looking at road boots, my bike is a zzr1400. Don't really need to wander about in them off bike. Budget not really an issue but don't want bright colours.

Comfortable and good protection an obvious requirement. Can spend up to £500

For £500 I would by some daytonas and spend the £150 I had left over on petrol.

I spent £20 getting two new zips on my Sidi's which lasted another couple of years, if the rest of the boot was fine I'd definitely be looking to repair rather than replace.

That said and two years later I purchased some Daytona boots and they're comfy as hell, well chuffed and looking forwards to getting some long days riding in them rather than just pootling to and from work.

I’ve got Daytona’s and wouldn’t use another brand now, great quality and protection

Ditto, great boots, and the wide sizes mean getting a good fit is easier

I've got a pair of my pals Daytona Security Evo boots at mine at the minute, and if the rest of Daytona's offerings are anything like these they will be mega boots.

I wear TCX RT Air Race whatever they are called ... at the minute and I love them, but if I have the £1500 or whatever it costs for those Security Evos laying around at the time it comes to replace them, I'll definitely be investing a pair if those.

Bought the Daytona "Big" travel touring boots the other year.

Obviously well made, comfortable from the get-go and being made for tall guys they fit me well (think they are 5cm taller than regular Travel boot) . Hope to get many years service out of them !

Yep, Daytona here. Not the cheapest, but superb quality & fit. Buy once and all that.
