I have seen a set of bmw 5 series alloys wheels at a good price. They were on a 2018 5 series and I want to put them on my 7 series 2016. My stud pattern like the 5 series one is 5x112. Will these fit ?

Yes, broadly speaking the wheels are interchangeable between the G30/G31/G32/G11 and G12 models. The wheel sizes are:
7.5 x 17 ET27 all round (common to all models without M Brakes)
8 x 18 ET30 all round, or 9 x 18 ET44 rears
For 19's and 20's, the 7 wears wider wheels than the 5, and they have different offsets - there are a lot of variables there. For example:
5 series: 8 x 19 ET30 all round, or 9 x 19 ET44 rears
7 series: 8.5 x 19 ET25 all round, or 9.5 x 19 ET39 rears
5 series: 8 x 20 ET30 all round, or 9 x 20 ET44 rears
7 series: 8.5 x 20 ET25 all round, or 10 x 20 ET41 rears

Lastly, 5 series tyres will be too small for your 7 series, so consider that too (in case the new wheels have tyres).
Hope this tallies with what you have / what you want. If you know what size you currently have, and what size the wheels are you're considering, put them in here for a comparison: https://www.willtheyfit.com/

Hope this helps.

Thank you for the informative response. I am still considering them but also looking at other wheels on market too.
