Spark plug diagram meaning?
Discussion
Just bought some sparkplugs and planning to replace soon. There is a diagram on there which tells you how much to tighten it I believe, correct me if I’m wrong but this shows to hand tighten first and go in with a ratchet and go 1/16th of a turn and 1/2-2/3 of a turn if it’s a different type?
So for mine it would be 1/2-2/3 of a turn?

Okay, just looked up the part number:
NGK PTR5A-10 5055
It is a tapered gasket seal so I will do 1/2-2/3 of a turn.
EDIT: Nevermind, it is actually a taper seal my bad. Had a proper look on NGK website.
When you do them up just seat them down by hand and then 1/16th is next to nothing, I just give each plug a gentle pull on the ratchet and leave it at that. If there a bit hard to screw in by hand I use the ratchet and hold the head rather than the handle so you can feel when the tapper contacts the head.NGK PTR5A-10 5055
