Struggling to find a car seat!
Discussion
Hi all, I have a 991.2 GTS and I am struggling to get my daughter in it.
She is 4 years old but approx 120cm and 27kg weight.
I've tried this seat in the rear which was suggested on another forum:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Maxi-Cosi-RodiFix-AirProt...
The seat fits in the rear of the car fine but I can't adjust the height of the seat up enough for her to fit in it. It hits the window/B pillar.
I then thought perhaps a booster seat is the way to go so bought this:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Sparco-SP-924ZG-Child-Sea...
This won't sit in the rear seats due to the bits at the back sitting up. Basically its too wide to fit into the rear of a 911.
I'm at a bit of a loss of what to do now. Is there any other way of fitting her in the rear of the car where she will be safer?
I can put her in the front but there is no way to turn the airbag off and no isofix so that basically leaves the option of sitting her on a booster seat on the front seat. I've read the law and I think I am ok to do this since she cannot physically fit in the rear. It does worry me though should we have an accident. I'm only dropping her off at school and then on to work. School is 1 mile away but still a worry.

Have you taken the rear seat bases out to give more height? I have two of those seats in my 991 Turbo. No probs with seat height - eldest is almost 7 and has the headrest on max height.
You can get front IsoFix and airbag deactivation switch retrofitted by Porsche.
I don't think the rear seat bases come out on my car? although will double check tonight. You can get front IsoFix and airbag deactivation switch retrofitted by Porsche.

The seat base is just velcro'd on. Same for all 991s (and 997s, 996s I think).
Not sure, will check when she's back from school later!
The seat back is velcro'd which removes to show the isofix points. Will check the base later on mine. Looked as though it was fixed though when I looked before. Not sure, will check when she's back from school later!

This Halfords booster is group 2/3 approved (rather than just 3) and I have 2 for the back of my 991. They fit perfectly and if you squint slightly almost look like Porsche houndstooth fabric as an added bonus!

As she's so tall I'd consider one of these https://smartkidbelt.com/en/
I have one for my 7yr old and it works well and the real seat is nicer than a bone hard booster.
