If you can get one it shouldn't be a bother to hook it up to the hands free port and hide the phone inside. You could answer calls but not dial them

With the circuit board from an oldish digital phone, say, nokia 5110 or 3210, wired up to the keypad, it should be possible to hack up a working one on the digital network.
