AppleTV 4K - which soundbar?
Discussion
We have a 40" Panasonic LED tv and a 5th gen Apple TV 4K. Which soundbar would people recommend for this setup?
also, given the AppleTV only has 1 HDMI output, how do you connect it all up? I have read that eARC HDMI (which our 2yr ld TV does not have) is necessary to get Dolby Atmos.
Always considered myself quite technical but this is doing my head in!
Quite happy to buy 2nd hand kit if that's the best solution. Budget say £500. Would be great if it could play music too.
Cheers,
Joel

Being Pistonheads, it wouldn't be correct if someone didn't double the given budget straight away
I would recommend finding a suitable secondhand AV receiver and however many speakers you like though (As long as it has 4k 120FPS passthrough & Dolby Atmos you'll be good to go for years and can add/upgrade speakers as and when)
To answer your actual question, most TVs and soundbars have digital audio (Fibre) interface which doesn't require eARC although I'm surprised your pano TV doesn't have that as my last TV, a £450 LED job from 2009 had it

Thanks guys. I will probably go with the Sonos Beam. I swore I'd never buy a Sonos but I just can't be arsed with setting up more than 2 wired speakers, I must be getting old.
Believe it or not I actually already have that Denon amp, in the loft, with the 5 speaker set it came with. That can pair up with the Apple TV 4th gen which is going up into the loft now that we've got the AppleTV 4K.
Many thanks
