Picked up a very early Orfina, condition is worn smile, see pictures do i put it in for a refurb or enjoy the platina....

I did something similar with a Heuer...





Case refinished, replacement strap and clasp (it came with a TAG deployant!), second hand painted. Other hands, faded lume and dial left alone.and a service on the mechanism.

Love a 5100 powered watch!

I'd just get the crystal swapped out, I like the patina.

Nic "Heuerboy" Green did the case and hands, and the 7750 was later serviced by DominicH

Edit - costs? Wow, we're talking a while back. Pre-2016. Was certainly in the hundreds, but don't recall baulking at the cost.

Not used him, but seen plenty of good things.

Will have a trawl through emails later if you want me to try and find the costs.

Matches my thinking, on both counts. Doesn't explain why I'm yet to own a 5100 but there you go...
