Small piece on WSBK site about Toseland, explaining a bit about why he's not been about last season. And other things. Strapline even mentioned he's been battling Covid!

Currently involved in charity work so I believe to raise funds for a children's hospital, a couple of sets of his race leathers are up for grabs via online auction or purchasing raffle tickets at £5.00 a pop.
There was a snippet feature in last weeks MCN.

Do you know his back story? Suicide, bad injuries, single parent family. Someone who succeeded through talent and drive.

Nope, not really interested. On TV he pauses before answering questions, like he's saying what he thinks people want to hear. Rather than having an opinion himself. No question he could do it in Superbike, but I don't want to listen to him.

He was terrible at the start on BT, but by the time he finished he was actually quite good

Never had BT. He's obviously an intelligent bloke, but I can't imagine him nailing pit girls, or having too many beers.

That'll be the guy that won 2 world championships, married Katie Melua, retired and formed a rock band and has had some success, and eschewed the celebrity reality market? I suspect you may have mis-imagined

I'm suggesting he may have had a lot more fun after his bike racing days were over, and I reckon he'd be a top bloke to have a beer with.

Didn't stop Barry Sheene going further, and winning the top class twice, did it...

Have to admit in a former life I met him too, a top bloke, although much like Bodgson, his handler (same one) was always hanging around trying to check up on him all the time.

He achieved a lot, and also showed our riders what they have to do to achieve without mega talent like a Rea or Redding, hard work, mega fitness and determination.

Couldn't care less what he did off track, but would not be shocked to find Bodge doing all sorts despite being married with kids at the time. Remember what Ellison did despite being married to a stunner!!

Interesting way to judge someones worth. Top bloke=Prowling around bars and clubs taking advantage of women who are seduced by your fame and getting validation for your empty life (apart from the race weekend) lol.
Not really impressed with sheene or hunt . Just having the same life as your average alcoholic but with more money.
Toseland was in the mould of those serious americans like lawson and rainey..
There are the zany ones that win nothing apart from rossi. He seems a one off.
