GT8 owners ?

I am finding myself getting drawn to the GT8 ... are there any owners on here ? Interested to hear a little about spec eg must haves and nice to have, anything to look for and any other pearls from those far more knowledgable than me ... any other places to go for insight ?

Unfortunately none were allowed to come to the US. So not and expert here. But if you find one you like I say just get it. Last of a kind it appears. Won’t be coming around this way again. I saw this video the other day. Enjoyed it and worth a look.

Turbo S , I'll post a few more bits on spec when I get a moment but suffice to say now might be a good time to buy. There are a few on the market ( only 50-55 or so ended up being made available in the UK out of the total numbered 150 - a few of those for sale belong to existing members of the GT8 club - Fil is in charge of the club who is also on here occasionally. Of those in the UK other than the so called Halo models which had their own paint schemes I would guess that no two are identically specced - originally the Retail price was £165k and I bet most original owners' spent at least a further 25% on options. Aero and Titanium exhausts I think were universally bought - mag centre locks at I think £17k from memory perhaps not ! Some like me had further customisations done inside although I got additional ones from Aston Martin Works as better value and possibly better job than the Q additions.
If I had to sum up in a sentence - pure theatre and the noise is seriously addictive. Great club and we have organised a few annual events - some of the videos on You tube as some of the above posters have said. You feel special just sitting in one.

I know I am always being told to drive more, but 154 miles in 4 years, that GT8 has been more of a sculpture rather than a car.
Basic running cost = £390 per mile. Might that be a record?

Lovely car but I plan on driving mine, so would be paying a hefty premium for something which I would likely eradicate in the next 3 years or so ... a shame as a lovely spec car !!

I am about to take delivery of a GT8 and was wondering if someone could tell me the situation with the front carbon splitters that can be removed. Are you best to run without these on or will you manage to get around with them in tact?

Depends on intended usage /mileage etc- mine have been on from the factory and other than one tiny scape when leaving a garage fill up no issues but that said approach angle and speed needs careful thought on some speed humps !
But in fairness mine has only done a couple of thousand miles from new.
I had mine PPF'd although obviously that wouldn't save them totally.
Some of the GT8 club had some alternatives made up in ABS and then wrapped etc.

Thanks for the reply, I’ll have to take it easy and see how I get on. It’s a shame to remove them but perhaps needs must, we shall see.

The car is skyfall silver with exposed black carbon, truly stunning and I can’t wait to enjoy it.

Just back from my first proper drive in my new to me GT8 ... coming out of a DBS Superleggera, clearly very different cars (after a change in needs i was on the look out for a more event focussed and track/weekend car) - the GT8 (in manual) is a fantastic drivers car - you have to work hard to get it right, but it is so regarding when you do !

I wont be doing long motorway runs but local blasts and driving trips will be very enjoyable.

I tried GT3, GT3 RS, Exige Cup, Performante to name a few - many had areas that they were better than the GT8, but as an overall package it really is something very special - super happy with my choice.
