Basically I need to know the difference between a flat and a convex wing mirror!

Is it the shape of the mirror glass or the shape of the casing?!!?

Cheers

It's the shape of the glass. Convex ones cover a wider field of view but make the image smaller (like a wide angle lens on a camera).

Shape of the glass I thought , gives you a greater field of vision.

Oh right, I'm looking at purchasing them for my Westfield, and I'm not really sure about which ones to get! I just want to see whats coming up behind me before I pull out!

Edited to put, the one's I'm looking at are clearly displayed here by Tim of www.just-the-one.net

As they are a bit on the tiny side I need to know which will give a better view, i was thinking with convex you couldn't really see much as it makes it smaller!

Can't see, there's a large shoulder doodah and I'm strapped in a bit tight as i'm lanky and in the event of an accident dont want lots of flailing body parts!!

Could I get away with just one, or would 2 be better?

Hot day I assume, and on an Airfield day!

I'm buying one of his aeroscreens off him so Mine will be like that, I think I'll wear something on me arms though!

Dare I say it, but in the event of an accident in a Westfield, it's a bit self conclusive as a dear friend of mine once found out. Sorry. Back to your question, two mirrors will look better and will probably be useful.
Cheers.
