I’ve bought my parents new iPhones (11). Currently they have iPhone 5’s. They have iTunes accounts but I’m pretty sure they’ve never backed them up.

What is the least painless way for me to swap them over?

I was going to put iTunes on my own laptop, back up each phone then restore to new phones. Can I have more than 1 iTunes account on my laptop though?

From iOS 12.4, via a combination of WiFi, Bluetooth and pure witchcraft.

(I’d back them up as well)

Will definitely back them both up to my laptop first, if I can have 2 iTunes accounts on my one device?

Don’t need a specific account to backup. The phone needs to trust the pc/Mac and then a backup can be taken.

I would set them up with iCloud back up and back up to iCloud then restore the new phone from there. Then the phone constantly auto backs up and if you lose it you only lose that days pictures/messages.

The Device to Device Migration works incredibly well...
