would you change vanquish s to dbs supperleggra
Discussion
I have a Vanq gen2 Volante (not S) and had a DBSS (coupe) to drive for a week. I would consider a change if the DBSS Volante drops some more value, maybe in 2 years time. By then I will know whether the resale value of my Vanq has indeed held solid (which it appears to be at the moment). That might make me reconsider. :-)

The fact you're asking the question would indicate to me that you're keen to swap, so what are your reservations in doing so ?
Obviously it's irrelevant what people on a forum would or wouldn't do, it's not their money, but FWIW I wouldn't swap, as the DBSS still has a long way to drop £ wise, whereas the Vanquish S has probably done it's chunk now. That said, only you know your personal finances, and perhaps cost isn't a factor.

Nope I wouldn't do it. I love the lines of the Vanquish and prefer the interior. Performance in the DBS is quirky from what I have read and the newer cars seem so big which I think relates to the huge clam shell bonnet.Vanquish here is Aus seem to be appreciating.
That beautiful N/A v12 cant be beaten for sound.
I have to put my hands up here to say that I was a firm supporter of the Vanquish S having bought a new one over the DBS when it first came out. However, just before Christmas Aston got me into a DBS and that was that, much as I loved the Vanquish S for it to become a classic I'd probably have to wait 20 years, the mid range performance is just outstanding and blows the Vs away. The chassis is so much stiffer and responsive handling wise.
I spec'd up a car (Tungsten Silver) and the new wheel style (much better than the launch ones) and that was that, couldn't be happier. My car was 2.5 years old into a 4 year agreement and the residual was already at the GFV, so normal Aston V12 depreciation really which I was aware of when I first bought the Vs.
Couldn't be happier but in my view the DBS is very colour/wheel combo dependent plus small items like the smoked out rear lights option also make a difference. Small downsides are that start up isn't quite as loud and there's no Apple Car play (can done by Aston Installations if you want). This is coming form a very firm Vanquish S advocate as my first Aston.
