I finally got around to getting a boot release kit fitted the other day. If anyone is thinking of doing the same I would recommend going for it.

Its a simple thing but it saves so much hassle. Also got the combined alarm fob/key done at the same time.

I went to Carl (at TVRUK) as recommend in other postings. Top guy and fitted it in no time.

If you speak to him nicely he'll even play you his CD from his old band - Failsafe. Not bad if you like a bit of rock !!

Yep, been there, done that. Thoroughly recommended. I cannot imagine life without one now!!

Russ, can you post a link to the specific previous postings please - am I right in thinking it's somewhere well 'down sarf' - if so, has anyone had it done north of Watford - preferably in the Midlands?

Had the same done recently by Carl a very worthwhile mod saves all the cursing in petrol stations when I used to forget to release the boot before switching off.

Just be prepared to play with Carl's dog as he never tires of fetching the ball

So so true! LOL. I have forgotten the amount of times I have followed that procedure to the letter.

I'm afaid he is pretty far 'down sarf' as you say. I live in Wimbledon and it took me an hour to get there.

As for cost, it was about £130 or so, but that included the combined key/alarm fob upgrade that's also worth doing.

Have no idea of anyone in your neck of the woods - sorry.
