Leather roof lining drooping, any fixing experiences?
Discussion
Hi There Aston Officiandos,
My 2015 Vanquish with a middle stitched Leather head lining has started to show a problem with it drooping a little on the rear passenger side.
Has anyone had any experience with rectifying the poor quality adhesive that must have been used.
I know Aston 1936 has a video on a DB( cloth/alcantra hood lining but I think the leather Vanquish one may be a bit different.
As I am in australia we are a bit starved of good repairers who have experience in this sort of repair.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had this same problem with my 2015 Vanquish. The headliner is held up by Velcro strips and a plastic push pin towards the rear. The side rails have to be removed but not the front header. Each side rail is attached with a visible Torx screw at the rear and 4-5 torx screws hidden under flaps in the alcantara. Once the side rails are detached, the headliner can be removed by pulling down and rearward. It can be removed from the car through the open passenger side door. I carefully removed all of the leather from the headliner foam backing and then removed all of the foam backing from the headliner. A good auto upholstery shop can re-glue new foam and the original leather to the headliner. Good luck and let me know if you have any questions.

Many thanks for your reply, I was cautious about who I might take it to but after your reply and after having a look it isn't as daunting as I thought great help thanks I will chat to a trimmer/upholsterer today and advise the outcome.Graze01 said:

Thanks Graze, I have popped in to Robert at S D Detailing as he does rejuvenation of all sorts of cars and he says that Astons are great cars for getting the interiors apart and he is happy to do the job for me. He has worked on a Vantage and Db9. If he has a problem I will see Warren. Besides which whenever the car goes there it comes back sparkling with another c2 coatTry Warren Lee , Lee Brothers at Albion
