Custom paint for a helmet — who and how much?

Talk to me about getting a custom paint job for a helmet. Have you looked into it or had one for your lid? And how expensive is it?

Where are you based?

I have had 3 lids painted by Liam at https://www.ldcdesigns.co.uk/ and they are all great, he has a 4th one on the go at the minute, quality of his work is superb.

Price wise you would need to discuss that with him directly but he is reasonable, before getting prices from Liam I was getting some silly quotes.

If you want putting in touch with him let me know, he is a great guy, he did the design work on my Pani as well and then the painter he shares a unit with painted that for me.

I've used Piers Dowell for both bikes and a helmet, he's not cheap, but he's probably one of the best in the country.. price depends on how complex the design is. link here http://www.piersdowell.com/

"Richart" did mine. It was on a top spec new shoei, paint was more than the lid, but it is epic, a true work of art. I gave him the lid, some ideas and left him to it!

Yep, kind of how Liam works, also he has franchises for quite a few of the lid manufacturers now so can also help with the purchase

I might also ask him for help with the purchase – once I've saved up! And I'm hoping that we'll have a few new lids certified to the sexy ECE 22.06 standard before long.
