Has anybody here ever replaced the grid lines on their heated rear window/demister ?
I actually want to replace the broken metallic gridlines that are on the grid(NOT Paint them as in a repair !!!)

They are described as "Lightweight Electrical Windscreen Demister Replacement Grid Lines"

Wondering ? Any UK supplier's etc.

Cheers
Max

My 2012 Volvo S60 has peeling elements - weird. I've been told by several auto electricians they can't replace them and the rear windscreen needs replacing. I'm hoping someone will smash it with a brick one day.

My dad had a 1965 Rover 2000TC; the rear screen was laminated with the elements between the laminations (like some modern windscreens). So much for progress.

Don't think it's possible they are too fragile to replace by hand even if you could get them delivered somehow intact

Old colleague of mine managed to destroy his on 1 day old 3 series.

He caused it by overly enthusiastically removing the dealer sticker on the rear screen, which he hated.

He denied all knowledge and the dealer had to replace the rear screen, with shiny new sticker on it. He left it on this time...

Supplied on a strip which then bond directly to the glass

Why don't you just do that yourself and pretend it was vandalised? The crime figures in your area will go up as will car insurance premiums. Win win.
