Can anone receomend a good classic insurer?
Discussion
Can't beat the Aon quote but I'm with Footman James with a modified 1972 1600m with agreed value insurance for £107 per year. Never had to make a serious claim with them but its broken down about five times in the last year and they've never batted an eyelid about sending out a recovery truck!

On there in the "files" section there is a document listing a whole stack of insurers worth trying, it is called TVR Insurance.doc

Ye Gods! Who was the 140 with? I pay about 200 with Firebond for my modded 1600.....
Kris,
Try Aon, when I bought the car it was with my heart and not my head, then I rang for insurance. 3.0 Taimar fully comp and unlimited miles, track days, 45 days abroad and full glass cover.

Will admit to being 48 but still was shocked at the low price.

Blimey, 131 quid? I thought my 200 was good! I think part of the issue with my premium might be age, as mine has been going down steadily year on year and dropped significantly when I turned 30 in '03. However, that difference is too great not to start making inquiries with Aon. Does your policy include regular commuting or occasional business travel use?

Ah, this may explain my slightly higher premium with Firebond, although I'm going to given Aon, and a few others that have been mentioned, a ring tomorrow. I have unlimited mileage with SDP & commuting to/from a regular place of work, although they won't cover going out and about on business, which is a bummer when it's nice out!
130 quid is quite impressive though!
