MK2 FL Octavia VRS 2.0 TSI misfire: spark plug pull
Discussion
Got an intermittent misfire from cold causing hesitation.
Also feel a slight miss at idle, occasioning on a severe miss (dropping cylinder).
This is cyl3:

Not familiar with this engine, but that looks like a rich foul to me.
Guessing coil pack is on the way out, dropping the spark and causing the rich condition?
All coilpacks look like they have been installed for a long time.
Other plugs, tan brown looks perfect, others a little lean?

Quite possible it is just plugs and coils, the coils are known not to be the best if the factory originals.
That said, This engine is also known to coke up its valves and injectors, the manifold seems to get away with it, but it maybe worth removing the manifold and checking out the valve tops and the injector ends.
Good video on that here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c7c35MJq5e0 (If you skip into it, you'll see coked up valve @ 22mins and injector at 26mins)
