Like the idea of trying macro photography, but don't want to spend a lot, so I got these:

Saw the 50mm prime on 7 day shop for £54 and after a little search and a few questions was told that Jessops own extension tubes are as good as any.

I asked jessops for a price match saying I could get the tubes off their website for £70.

No, can't match 7dayshop! - but what we can do is try our best to and see what we can do on the tubes. Total price £124.

And after a very quick play this is what they'll do:

With 52mm extension

I know the focus point is different. The pics are not cropped at all (just resized). How close?

Impressive stuff. Must admit I've been quite chuffed with the stuff I've bought from Jessops

Think an extension tube (fnarr) could be the next thing on my shopping list...
